Analogous?

I have much I could write, but right now writing much would be too much
and that would not be too right. So all I'll say is:

Thirty-five years ago today, my parents were engaged. . . . .

And six years ago today, I got my braces on. . . . .

It seems like there should be some sort of analogy in that.
